Medical Imaging
Siemens Medical Systems Gammasonics Division needed a design engineer for a new high resolution laser imaging platform. The company tapped Phillip Yeager's experience developing embedded systems.
At Siemens Gammasonics Inc., Yeager's primary responsibility was image processing and control firmware for an embedded medical imaging system. His secondary responsibility was motion control and image processing hardware. The system included laser scanning control, film transport, multi-host control interface for an operator workstation, graphics terminal interface, and image processing algorithms. Firmware for this project was coded in C.
