Localization and Tracking
The XactPos Micro-location system couples precision RTLS with recent advances in wireless UWB transceiver technology to address an unsatisfied market demand for precise position data.
Our vision is to provide the leading localization and tracking solution to customers with performance needs unmet by other technologies, such as GPS. A general performance comparison:
- GPS Global, Outdoor. House level accuracy.
- WIFI/BT Room level accuracy.
- XactPos UWB Local, Indoor/Outdoor. 10cm accuracy.
Our initial solution is aimed towards operators of unmanned vehicles. In particular, those operators that require rapid and precise local positioning information unmet by GPS or RSSI (signal strength measuring techniques like RFID and Bluetooth).

Features:
- An accurate position result is provided with update rates between 5 and 20 Hz, latency less than 150 ms, precision comparable to RTK-GPS and is robust to environmental interference.
- The vehicle borne components are provided in a small, light weight and low power package.
- Easy to use configuration utilities provide automatic survey of fixed nodes, system performance analysis, network occupancy indicators and software upgrades.
- The system interfaces (mechanical, electrical and communications protocols) plug and play with existing systems with little or no customer adaptation.
